Ambitious Huawei plans to launch 6G by 2030
Chinese telecom giant Huawei has been working on an ambitious project of launching 6G by 2030.
According to reports, the upcoming 6G network will be at least 50 times faster than the current standard speed of 5G networks. The company claims the network speed of 6G will sustain a thousand gigabits of data download per second.
As CGTN reports, Huawei Chairman Xu Zhijun used the company's global analyst conference in Shenzhen to announce that it intends to launch 6G equipment and subsequent networks in 2030. A white paper is also planned in which Huawei will tell the industry what 6G is.
For now however, 6G is something for the scientists to work on and ordinary users might only be able to get a glimpse of the technology by mid 2030s.
