  • Early or late marriages: what do the psychologists say?

Marriage is a bond between two persons that strengthens their relationship and gives them a sort of closure. Due to various reasons, some people get married early while some people get married late.

Elder people often believe that the marriage of girls should be done at an early age. Even so some believe that as soon as a girl attains adulthood, she should ba married off. However, do you know what psychologists say about this topic?

According to the Bright Side website, late marriage leads to more happiness, and the biggest reason for this is the development of maturity which leads to understanding. If you look at the divorce rate, most of the couples who get divorced are those who are younger.

Psychologists have a kind of consensus that marriage better off when it's done at a bit later stage because the couple has a greater ability to understand each other.

If the girl is young then it is important that the boy is mature to avoid any kind of problems. Otherwise, the issue of compatibility soon kicks in and creates a plethora of problems.

Mature people know very well how to fulfill their responsibilities in an efficient way. So the bottomline is to get married when the couple is mature enough to take on the responsibilities that the marriage places on the couple.
